JENNIFER DOMINGUE | co-vice president of education & development
Jennifer is a third-year student at W&L and an alumna from the University of Michigan with degrees in Communication Studies and Political Science. She is currently working with the W&L Law Admissions Office as a Law Ambassador tour guide; a member of W&L OUTLaw LGBTQ organization; and a member of the Christian Legal Society. For the fall semester, Jennifer is also working with the W&L Tax Clinic, representing low-income taxpayers in their disputes with the IRS. Previously, she has had the opportunity to work as a law clerk for two small private firms and work with the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender in Michigan. Her academic interests center on tax and corporate law, and her hobbies include long-distance running, cooking, and drinking good coffee.
KAREN JACOBSEN | vice president of media
Originally from Vermont, Karen graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with degrees in graphic design and marketing. Prior to attending law school, she spent several years working in Washington, D.C. at a plaintiff-side litigation firm where she developed an interest in civil rights, consumer advocacy, and employment law. This past summer she interned with the Office of the General Counsel of the American Red Cross National Headquarters, an experience that further honed her interest in labor and employment law. Now a 2L, Karen is a staff writer for the Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice and serves as a university Honor Advocate. In her time away from the law library, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and cheering on the Washington Capitals.

Angela Kerins is a second-year student at W&L Law and a 2012 graduate from the College of New Jersey with a degree in Political Science and a Minor in Spanish. Previously she had the opportunity to work as a Summer Associate for a NYC law firm as well as an intern in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. While at the Supreme Court Angela worked in the Chambers of Justice Sotomayor. Working under such a prominent female figure in the legal field inspired her to advocate for the advancement of all women in the profession. Angela Kerins is so excited to be serving on WLSO's board as the Co-Vice President of Education & Development. She also sits on the University Board of Appeals, is a Kirgis Fellow, a law school Ambassador, and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Executive Board as well as the Powell Lecture Series Board. When she manages to escape the library Angela loves all things musical theater, going to concerts, and bad reality tv.
