Run-Walk for the Law 5K - Saturday, April 8, 2017
Register online at: https://mkt.com/pilsa
Every year, PILSA hosts a 5K run-walk to raise money for students who are working in public interest. These scholarships go to students working in public interest jobs, including legal aid, public defenders, non-profits, domestic clinics, and any sort of legal job that benefits those who are underrepresented in society. Because these positions are often unpaid, these scholarships allow the students to take an unpaid position and use the money to pay for their living expenses over the summer.
PILSA will host its annual 5K Run-Walk for the Law fundraiser on Saturday, April 8, 2017 to coincide with Law Alumni Weekend! Proceeds benefit students working in unpaid public interest summer work. Register early for a guaranteed t-shirt with registration! (T-shirts and race bibs can be picked up at the race.) There will be door prizes and cash prizes for winners!
The 5K is a run-walk event.
Dogs on leashes are welcome!
Kids are welcome, too (leashes optional)!
Your registration includes a Run for the Law T-shirt and race bib!
Alumni, faculty, and community members - $30

This year may also feature some fun new challenges. Last year, Dean Hellwig and Dean Jarrett sponsored the "Beat the Deans" Challenge! For every student who beat Dean Jarrett and/or Dean Hellwig, they each donated $5 for summer scholarships.
Registration will start at 7:30am in the Lewis Hall/Law School parking lot; the 5K will begin at 8am from the parking lot!
