Phi Alpha Delta Charity Auction Raises $4,280
Story Abstract:The Annual Phi Alpha Delta Charity Auction, held on November 14, 2003 was a complete success. Professor David Caudill was the Auctioneer and generous faculty and staff provided wonderful items for the event.
This year the top two items were a framed English Deed and a Justice Rehnquist Bobble Head Doll which both sold for $400.00. Other items of interest include a Gourmet Dinner to be served by Dean David Partlett which went for $310.00, a Wine Tasting for 10 that was purchased for $300.00 and finally a dinner for four with wine which sold for $260.00.
PAD would like to thank all the faculty and staff who donated items as well as the students who came to show their support and participate in the auction. All of the money raised will go to the Rockbridge County Emergency South River Relief Fund. This fund has been set up to provide assistance to victims of Hurricane Isabel in the South River area of Rockbridge County.
