School of Law Welcomes Visiting Faculty Members for Spring 2008

The Washington and Lee University School of Law is pleased to welcome several visiting faculty members this semester.

Returning to the School of Law are Christopher Whelan and Jose Marcos Domingues-de-Oliviera, both of whom served previously as visiting professors. Professor Whelan is Associate Director of International Law Programmes at the University of Oxford and will teach Introduction to European Community Law and Professional Responsibility. Domingues is on the law faculty at Rio de Janiero State University and will teach Introduction to Latin American Law.

New to the School of Law are visiting professors Ronald Bacigal and Adam Mossoff, as well as Lewis Law Center Scholar-in-Residence Qudsia Mirza. Professor Bacigal is a 1967 graduate of the W&L law school and a Professor of Law at the University or Richmond. He will teach Criminal Law this semester. Professor Mossoff joins W&L from Michigan State University, where his research addresses the theoretical and doctrinal intersections between property and intellectual property. He will teach Property and Patent Law.  Professor Mirza is Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of East London. She will teach Islamic Law.
