Carrels and Study Spaces

The Law Library is designed to provide a welcoming space for study and collaboration.  First year law students are assigned carrels for their personal use.

Carrel Lottery for upper class law students

Unassigned carrels may be assigned to 2L and 3L students not in a clinic or on Law Review through a carrel lottery held at the start of the fall semester.  Questions regarding carrels should be directed to Macy Coffey at coffeym@wlu.edu in the Library Administrative Office.

Open Study Areas & Stacking Permits

Open study areas are available throughout the library.  Display your stacking permit with your study materials and belongings in open study areas to prevent their re-shelving by library staff.  Stacking permits may be obtained and updated at the circulation desk.  Failure to use your stacking permit in open areas will result in all materials being collected by the library staff.  If no name or other identification is found with such materials, they will be treated as lost or abandoned property.
